We have a small update for you on OpeniBoot for iOS devices. Incase you were wondering about support for the 4th-gen iPod touches, Hexxeh has just confirmed that they he and his team has tested the required binaries on a iPod touch 4G and needless to say, it worked just like it did on other A4 devices like the iPhone 4 and iPad.
As we said Hexxeh, after testing the new OpeniBoot binaries in the iPod Touch 4G was determined that works perfectly!
Thus, we can inform you that soon we can install and run Android, for now Froyo in all iOS devices latest generation A4 processor (iPhone 4, iPad, iPod Touch 4G)
By far not been given any release date, but I assure you will not be long after making compatible IDRO
"Asking whether lots of people will work on iPT4 OpeniBoot. We tested an i4 binary Earlier, Worked fine, Which Is Promising. No ETAs "
Note:
OpeniBoot is a free implementation of Apple iBoot IOS devices and allows you to boot unsigned code
- Hexxeh also reported that no one is working on a version of OpeniBoot for iPhone 3G
