News Focus on the new LCD screen of iPhone 4G

As if the iPhone 4/HD hadn't been looked at enough, today some nice Czech folks did some microscope work on what appears to be a the 640x960 screen and found it to be...denser.. than current iPhone models. Surprise.
We're not sure how/if they landed a new iPhone screen nor why we are looking at pixels and not other functionality of the device but here you go:

They say that it is an IPS LCD with and not AMOLED and roughly translated, the reason is:The question thus arises: why Apple used the IPS and not so popular AMOLED? The reason will probably be decent features IPS (good viewing angles, and others that familiar with the case), and very likely also hassle-volume production. It is not no secret that the current capacity in the OLED display is fully booked, and Apple would hardly find a manufacturer able to deliver in a short time, millions of pieces of displays produced by this technology. With IPS orders probably will not be a problem and also made this screen does not suffer from problems with line art as PenTile AMOLED display ...
