I have just been tipped off by one of our readers who has got a reply from Chpwn, confirming that Cydia is now ready for primetime use on iOS 4.2.

Due to many API changes in iOS 4.2, Cydia had to go through a long overdue overhaul which we reported about last week.

There is no official announcement on what the update will include, so let’s put our speculative hats on for a moment: maybe we’ll finally get to see Rock integration?

Now that Cydia is ready, and Apple is about to release iOS 4.2 to public, we will have to wait for Comex to implement a userland exploit so that Geohot’s Limera1n can be extended beyond iOS 4.1 for a full untethered jailbreak.
