Great news for those of you awaiting an unlock for the iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 with baseband 05.12.01. MuscleNerd has just confirmed that a new unlock tool for baseband 05.12.01 will be available when the new iPhone 4G is released.

We shouldnt have to warn you by now but., If you plan to keep your current jailbreak and unlock you should NOT upgrade your Firmware and even iTunes for that matter.
